Tempranillo is the most planted grape variety in Cuenca, and it thrives in the region's high-altitude vineyards with extreme temperatures and scarce rainfall. This wine has a bright and refreshing character, along with firm tannins that provide structure and grip on the palate. It has a complex range of flavors that include ripe red fruit such as cherries and raspberries, along with notes of black pepper, vanilla, and leather. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a pleasant aftertaste of red fruit and spices. This wine has an excellent aging potential, and the tannins will soften with time, creating a velvetier mouthfeel.
